A Message for Treble Choir Members…

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Treble Choir singers, the choir festival in Rochester is only a few weeks away! Please spend time this weekend memorizing your music. This Monday we’ll try singing “Spirits” and “Winter” without music and finish learning “Kokoleoko” and “A Cuckoo Flew Out of the Woods.” Please review your rehearsal CD of “Kokoleoko.” Thank you! -Rachel

Waffle Dinner/Bring-a-Friend Night is Nov. 3

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

This year’s waffle dinner/bring-a-friend night is scheduled for Mon., Nov. 3, 4:30 - 8 p.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church. This is one of two annual fundraising events that benefit NYC scholarships and general operating funds, so your participation is greatly appreciated! Please note that all rehearsals (including Chorale) will take place at St. John’s that day, but some rehearsal times will be adjusted to prevent a hold-up in the waffle line. Rehearsal details to come! Invite a singing friend to enjoy waffles and rehearsal that evening!

Ticket will be send home with your singers on Mon., Oct. 13th. New this year: earn a $15 Target gift card each time you sell $75 worth of waffle dinner tickets! (Yes, that means if you sell $150, you earn two gift cards!)

If you’re interested in entertaining the crowd as they wait in line, let us know by responding to this email. We hope many of our talented singers will want to share some of their other talents, such as playing the piano or violin, dancing, juggling…the possibilities are endless!

Parents, if you indicated a willingness to volunteer at the waffle dinner on your parent volunteer form, Michelle Shimek will be contacting you soon. Parents and older singers who would like to volunteer also are encouraged to contact Michelle at volunteer@northfieldyouthchoirs.org.
